Help me pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Mombasa University Hospital
Joyce needs laparoscopic cyst removal at Mombasa University Hospital and the family is $350 short of the hospital's estimate.

In June I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. My surgeon at Mombasa University Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $470, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $350 short.
Doctors at Mombasa University Hospital told me a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a taxi driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $470 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a taxi driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $350 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $145
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $135
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope the doctors have good news. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Stockholm
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Mombasa.
looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
