Help me pay for laparoscopic cyst removal at Kansas City Regional Medical Center

A scheduled laparoscopic cyst removal in July is out of reach without help covering $2,900 of the cost.

Kansas City
In April I was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction. My surgeon at Kansas City Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,850, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $2,900 short. Doctors at Kansas City Regional Medical Center told me a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a market vendor, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,850 is far beyond what I've. Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a market vendor have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk. Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $2,900 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $420 • Post-operative medication: $350 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,800 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $330 Thank you so much. - Anthony
