Help me pay for hip replacement surgery at San Francisco Regional Medical Center
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in October is out of reach without help covering $5,100 of the cost.

In July I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at San Francisco Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $6,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $5,100 short.
Doctors at San Francisco Regional Medical Center told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without hip replacement surgery. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $6,750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a care assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $5,100 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,750
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $2,550
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $580
• Travel and lodging for the family: $220
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
