Help me pay for hip replacement surgery at Istanbul Regional Medical Center
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Ceren was cleared for hip replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In July I was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes. My surgeon at Istanbul Regional Medical Center recommended hip replacement surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,800, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $1,250 short.
Doctors at Istanbul Regional Medical Center told me severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without hip replacement surgery. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,800 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a care assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ceren.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. travel and lodging for the family comes first ($120) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
