In June I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Miami General Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $3,900, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $3,100 short.
