Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Saint Joseph Hospital
A scheduled emergency hernia repair in September is out of reach without help covering $1,350 of the cost.

In June I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,700, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $1,350 short.
Doctors at Saint Joseph Hospital told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a delivery rider, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,700 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a delivery rider have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
