Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Chicago Orthopedic Institute
A scheduled emergency hernia repair in October is out of reach without help covering $9,400 of the cost.

In September I was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery. My surgeon at Chicago Orthopedic Institute recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $12,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $9,400 short.
Doctors at Chicago Orthopedic Institute told me endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $12,500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
