Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Cairo General Hospital
After a deviated septum causing chronic infections, Wafa was cleared for emergency hernia repair, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In July I was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections. My surgeon at Cairo General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,450, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,000 short.
Doctors at Cairo General Hospital told me a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a school bus driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,450 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a school bus driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $115
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $95
• Travel and lodging for the family: $80
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $450
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $260
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Get well soon. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Take care.
How is Wafa doing now?
Praying for you, Wafa. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Tampa
Hope you get there. Thinking of Cairo
