Help me pay for cataract surgery at Berlin University Hospital
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Andreas was cleared for cataract surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In August I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee. My surgeon at Berlin University Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $3,550 short.
Doctors at Berlin University Hospital told me osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a warehouse packer, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a warehouse packer have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to climb stairs during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $330
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,000
• Post-operative medication: $220
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
You're not alone, Andreas. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
