Help me pay for a partial thyroidectomy at Saint Petersburg General Hospital
After a large ovarian cyst, Viktor was cleared for a partial thyroidectomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In May I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Saint Petersburg General Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for July. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $500, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $400 short.
Doctors at Saint Petersburg General Hospital told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $400 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $170
• Post-operative medication: $135
• Travel and lodging for the family: $95
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thanks for sharing this, Viktor. This could happen to any of us. Love from Kilkenny.
Hope things get better soon, Viktor. Hope this works out for you
Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Saint Petersburg.
Stay strong, Viktor. Hope you get there. Take care
Wishing you peace, Viktor. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.
