Help me pay for a craniotomy at Addis Ababa Community Hospital
After a large ovarian cyst, Ruth was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In November I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst. My surgeon at Addis Ababa Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for January. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $810, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $650 short.
Doctors at Addis Ababa Community Hospital told me a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $810 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a care assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $650 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $220
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $185
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $85
• Post-operative medication: $35
• Physiotherapy sessions: $90
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
