I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at the Newcastle Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,900.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Newcastle Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $270
• Final term tuition: $1,550
• Textbooks and materials: $80
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

You're not alone, Harold. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings
stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Machakos donated after I showed her your page. Take care
sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
