I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at Ciudad de México Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a tutor to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,200. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Ciudad de México Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,200 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $90 • Outstanding tuition balance: $310 • Final term tuition: $800 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 11 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.
