Help me finish a degree in civil engineering at Medellín University - $900 to go
Karina has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $900 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at Medellín University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $900 goes:
• Final term tuition: $600
• Textbooks and materials: $40
• Outstanding tuition balance: $260
Thanks for reading all this.

Keep going, Karina. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Durham.
rooting for you, Karina. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Good luck, Karina. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
