I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at Corpus Christi Polytechnic, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,750.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Corpus Christi Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $5,750 goes:
• Final term tuition: $2,150
• Outstanding tuition balance: $3,300
• Textbooks and materials: $300
Thank you so much.

good luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
