I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a computer science degree at Bangkok University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a delivery rider to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,700. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Bangkok University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,700 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $610 • Final term tuition: $970 • Exam and lab fees: $75 • Textbooks and materials: $45 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Sombat

Thinking of you, Sombat. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Addis Ababa.
