Help Mauricio keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Málaga.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 222 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Málaga market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $185
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $480
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $835
With deep gratitude,
Mauricio

any update on how things are going in Málaga?
Hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't give up!
You're not alone, Mauricio. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 21 people at work.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mauricio
Refrigeration and electricity is $185 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
praying for you. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in.
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
So sorry you're going through this, Mauricio. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up. Blessings.

Hang in there, Mauricio. Hope you get there. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Southampton.
thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Embakasi donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Embakasi.
