Help Matthias keep his home - 4 months behind on rent

After a car accident that kept me from work for 8 weeks, Matthias fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $2,100. The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, the family must leave. There are a toddler and a baby at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else. Matthias has started working night deliveries, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here. The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done. Where the $2,100 goes: • Rent arrears (4 months): $1,100 • Late fees and court costs: $210 • Utilities in arrears: $200 • First month of rent as a buffer: $590 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
