Help Matthew keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Sherbrooke.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 122 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Sherbrooke market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,150
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,050
• Baby formula and diapers: $650
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
- Matthew

Thinking of you and your family. Great idea, hope you get there. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Lansing.
Sending love, Matthew. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Sherbrooke.
Thank you. If you're in Sherbrooke I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
hope it all works out, Matthew. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
More neighborhoods should do this. I hope April is when things finally get easier.
Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Newcastle.
