The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Masud received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $150 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Masud called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Masud is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
