Help Mason through 12 rounds of treatment for early-stage lung cancer
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Bowling Green Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇺🇸 Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States1,195 views
Mason was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in January. The oncology team at the Bowling Green Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Mason is 45, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bowling Green Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $7,700 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,450
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750
• Scans and lab work: $500
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck, Samuel. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
Best of luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care.
Wishing you the best. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
