Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Sunday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 66 each week. Donations have dropped by about 55% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kyiv market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $500 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140 • Baby formula and diapers: $100 • Refrigeration and electricity: $95 Thanks for reading all this.

  • Keep going. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Paris.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Maryna

Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is $165 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
