Joshua, my uncle, passed away on 2 August after a road accident. He was 86 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 20 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Joshua to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

• Transport of the deceased: $500
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,550
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,400
