Help Mariana restart a bicycle repair shop in Rio de Janeiro after a long illness and repossession
Mariana lost a full set of tools to a long illness and repossession and needs $1,150 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Rio de Janeiro. In May, a long illness and repossession took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $690
• Initial stock: spare parts: $195
• Shop repairs and licensing: $160
• Working capital for the first month: $105
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

You're not alone, Mariana. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless!
