Help Maria lay Liza to rest with dignity in Bakersfield
After the sudden passing of Liza, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Liza, my grandmother, passed away on 4 September after a short illness. She was 24 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 21 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Liza to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $740
• Transport of the deceased: $330
