Help Margaret restart a roadside café in Dodoma after a long illness and repossession
A roadside café in Dodoma needs help replacing an espresso machine and grinder after a long illness and repossession.
🇹🇿 Dodoma, Tanzania1,657 views
For three years I have run a roadside café in Dodoma. In July, a long illness and repossession took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $250 goes:
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $90
• Working capital for the first month: $70
• Shop repairs and licensing: $90
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Margaret
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. initial stock: coffee and pastries comes first ($90) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Leicester
