Marcos is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at the Juazeiro do Norte Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,200.
The registrar has said Marcos can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Marcos has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Marcos would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Marcos isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Final term tuition: $830
• Outstanding tuition balance: $300
• Exam and lab fees: $70
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Dehiwala
