I make my living with my ride-share car. 10 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $500 goes: • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $290 • Labor charges: $105 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $55 • Towing and inspection: $50 Every share and every dollar helps. - Marcelo

Updates from Marcelo

Update from Santos: I made the first payment toward clutch assembly replacement. We're at 46% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Quick update: $189 raised so far (38%). I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($99 in total) I made the first payment toward clutch assembly replacement. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
