Help Manuel keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Medellín is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 287 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Medellín market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $195
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
Thank you for reading my story.

Hang in there, Manuel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Saint Petersburg donated after I showed her your page.
Hope things get better soon. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Medellín
Thinking of you and your family, Manuel. More neighborhoods should do this.
