Manuel is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a pharmacy diploma at the Taguig Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Manuel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Manuel has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Manuel would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Manuel isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $650 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Final term tuition: $510
• Textbooks and materials: $90
I hope life is good to you.

Good luck. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Taguig!
wishing you the best, Aileen. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Wish I lived closer to Sheffield so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Sent it to 21 people at work. Thinking of Taguig
best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
