Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Kyiv.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 212 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 50% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kyiv market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $600 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $80
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $380
With deep gratitude,
Maksym

Praying for you, Maksym. More neighborhoods should do this. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Riverside.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Maksym
Sure. The biggest one is fresh vegetables and fruit, $140. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
Hope you get there. Love from Brooklyn.
This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Bronx this morning. Love from Bronx.
thinking of you, Maksym. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My neighbor in Pasig donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
