The electricity account is 2 months behind. Mahesh received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in August.
Mahesh called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Mahesh is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
