Help Mahesh keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
Mahesh runs a volunteer pantry feeding 99 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 99 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nashik market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $150
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
Updates from Mahesh
Small update. $441 so far, the plan for fresh vegetables and fruit is now scheduled.
Update from Nashik: I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. We're at 24% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you all. We're at 37% now ($167). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.

Keep going, Mahesh. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Fresno.
Hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Nashik.
