Magdalini was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in July. The surgeon at Piraeus Community Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,200, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,600 short. my mother has been in and out of Piraeus Community Hospital since July. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,200 is more than we can find. While we wait, Magdalini struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Magdalini won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
