Madeline was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in May. The surgeon at Columbus Regional Medical Center recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for August. my mother has been in and out of Columbus Regional Medical Center since May. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Madeline struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
