Dorcas, my grandmother, passed away on 20 March after a sudden heart attack. She was 42 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 April. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Dorcas to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $900 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $640 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $170 • Transport of the deceased: $30 • Memorial gathering for the family: $60 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
