A first-generation student, Macharia needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.

Macharia is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Nairobi State College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has said Macharia can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Macharia has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Macharia would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Macharia isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Macharia.
Textbooks and materials is $45 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
