The heating account is 3 months behind. Lucy received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $800 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in July.
Lucy called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $200 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through the cold months without heating isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Lucy is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
