Help Long get through 5 hard months with three children under 11
A single mother in Miami needs help with childcare, groceries and rent while Long retrains.

Last May I went through a sudden redundancy, and I'm now raising three children under 11 on my own. I work as a school kitchen assistant, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a web developer in the evenings, which will triple my income by July, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Rent top-up: $1,300
• Childcare and after-school care: $1,050
• Groceries and school meals: $800
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Stay strong. This could happen to any of us. I hope July is when things finally get easier. All the best.
hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. All the best!
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Long
It's all in the list in the story. rent top-up is the big one at $1,300, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Ask me anything else.
Wishing you peace, Long. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 6 people at work. God bless.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Long?
Thank you. If you're in Miami I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
So sorry you're going through this, Long. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update.
You're not alone, Long. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Miami.
Sending good thoughts, Long. I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
