Help Liton restart a small grocery stall in Chattogram after a fire in the building
A small grocery stall in Chattogram needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after a fire in the building.
Anywhere in the world1,143 views
For three years I have run a small grocery stall in Chattogram. In August, a fire in the building took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $190
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Working capital for the first month: $60
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope you get there. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Chattogram.
Best of luck, Liton. Small businesses are the heart of Chattogram. Hope you're open again soon. Wish I lived closer to Jakarta Barat so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Pune.
Thinking of you and your family, Liton. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best
