Help Lilian replace the fuel pump and return to work
Lilian drives for a living in Kano, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 4 weeks.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,845 views
I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $210. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $210 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $100
• Labor charges: $55
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $5
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone, Lilian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Blessings.
Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
So sorry you're going through this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 16 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
sending strength, Lilian. Small businesses are the heart of Kano. Hope you're open again soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
