Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 281 each week. Donations have dropped by about 48% this winter, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Enugu market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $350 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $185 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115 • Baby formula and diapers: $40 • Refrigeration and electricity: $10 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Take care. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Coyoacán donated after I showed her your page.

    • Keep going, Lilian. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
