Help Lilian keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
Lilian runs a volunteer pantry feeding 297 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 297 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 49% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kano market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $105
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $205
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
