Help Leonardo pay for hip replacement surgery at Laredo General Hospital
Leonardo needs hip replacement surgery at Laredo General Hospital and the family is $4,200 short of the hospital's estimate.

Leonardo was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in May. The surgeon at Laredo General Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $4,200 short.
my son has been in and out of Laredo General Hospital since May. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Leonardo struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Leonardo won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $240
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $2,850
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $340
• Post-operative medication: $200
• Physiotherapy sessions: $570
Every share and every dollar helps.

you're not alone, Joaquín. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
You're not alone, Joaquín. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Laredo.
Hang in there. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings!
