Lauren was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in March. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $7,300 short. my sister has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since March. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without ACL reconstruction. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks.
