Lata was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in February. The surgeon at Los Angeles University Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,300, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $2,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Los Angeles University Hospital since February. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,300 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lata struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Lata won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
