A scheduled a craniotomy in May is out of reach without help covering $150 of the cost.

Kwesi was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in February. The surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $190, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $150 short.
my husband has been in and out of Saint Francis Hospital since February. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $190 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kwesi struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Kwesi won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $150 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $70
• Post-operative medication: $35
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. After 18 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
