Kwaku was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in June. The surgeon at Accra Community Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $560, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $450 short. my husband has been in and out of Accra Community Hospital since June. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $560 is more than we can find.
