Help Kunle pay for knee replacement surgery at Saint Joseph Hospital
Kunle needs knee replacement surgery at Saint Joseph Hospital and the family is $1,050 short of the hospital's estimate.

Kunle was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in May. The surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,100, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Joseph Hospital since May. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,100 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kunle struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Kunle won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $130
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $80
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $550
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $235
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
