Kristine was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in March. The surgeon at El Paso Community Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,000 short.
my sister has been in and out of El Paso Community Hospital since March. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kristine struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
